Yup, an awful lot of the time. Right now I’m building a radiometer – which is a thing that focuses different types of light so you can work out things about whatever it is you’re looking at. This one is going on a satellite that will orbit the Earth and will tell us what the temperatures are at different points in the atmosphere – something that’s really important in Climate Science, when you’re studying global warming. We’re also hoping to send one to Jupiter to find out more about the gases in it’s atmosphere.

Last month I was working on seismometers to measure earthquakes. Those are hopefully going to Mars and possibly to an asteroid so that we can find out more about the underground structure of those places.
