Some tasks do get a bit boring but you just have to crack through to get to the enjoyable bits. Trouble is you do not always know in advance whats going to be enjoyable or boring. I think a lot of engineers use the ‘glass is half full’ idea rather than ‘glass is half empty’ – and that helps a lot.

I don’t have the time to be bored here – there is always loads of things to do! 🙂

Everyone can get bored sometimes, but that’s usually when you’re doing the same sort of thing over and over. My job’s really varied, so that doesn’t happen often.

I enjoy my job most of the time. There’s generally too much going on to get bored, but if I’m in a funny mood or I’m really tired, then I find I can’t concentrate, my mind wanders and I get bored. A cup of tea & chocolate bar soon sorts that out though!

Thankfully I get to work flexi-time with my job and if I find that I am not getting anywhere with something then I can go home and come back to start it fresh the next day. To be honest this never really happens as I always have multiple tasks on the go at the same time.
